carpet vs. rug

差別在那裡呢？

一般來說carpet比較大，但是rug比較小。至於以功能性來說的話，carpet總是放在地上(on the floor)，但rug的功能性就比較大，除了可以裝飾地板以外，可以掛在牆上(hang a rug on the wall)，放在床上(lay a rug across a bed)或是直接放在另一條carpet上，讓室內裝飾更有趣(liven up the décor)。

換句話來說，carpet就是在地板上的(It's attach to the floor)，而rug就是一個比較小的織品(a weave)，使用處比較廣泛，不見得只放在地上。
